Illamasqua for P O S E D
Today and Yesterday the shoots have been taking place for the muse section of issue 1. Our beautiful model, Stephanie, worked so hard so first I must thank her. Next, thank you to our stylist Pamela Reynolds and all the photographers who shot to a very tight timescale over the two days… you were all brilliant
I Can’t wait to see the results.

Finally I would like to thank… (I feel this turning into and Oscars speech) Illamasqua for giving me the company’s kit to use for today’s shoots. I arrived home from work yesterday with Illamasqua’s entire range carefully packed into two cases, it was like heaven! I then decided there was no way I was going to be able to haul it all up the many stairs at the studio so, I narrowed it down to a much more manageable quantity.
Here is what I decided to take along with my normal kit:
Based on what the photographers had told me they wanted makeup wise for their individual ideas I picked powder eyeshadows, lipsticks and other colour products to fit. I also included a selection of foundations, concealers and powders so I could pick the best product for the models skin type and the desired effect (you can see these all at the back of the picture.) I then included Illuminators and Pure Pigment colours, to use for highlights and body shimmer, and more lip glosses than really necessary but I just couldn’t narrow it down any further!
Described as “Make-up for your alter ego”, the range is inspired by the illicit club scene of the 1920’s, and encourages the wearer to express themselves through makeup and theatre. These are professional grade products designed and developed by a team of well known and succesful makeup artists, with Alex Box heading the art team.
