Pam’s still Hogging the Catwalk

Pam Hogg put on an electrifying show to reveal her Autumn/Winter 2010 collection that officially blew the fuse on London Fashion Week.

The 80’s iconic fashion rebel thrust punk back on to the catwalk with her latest collection of original punk-rock-rebellion; with a mix of black, white, mesh, pompom heads, jumpsuits and a whole lot of rock ‘n’ roll.

Famous for her signature bold look-at-me clothes in a mix of shocking metallic’s and tighter than tight skin-tight cat suits; inspired by the freedom of punk and outlandish eccentrics such as Boy George and David Bowie.

Hogg’s latest collection incorporated signature PVC and leather cat suits, huge hair pieces with extensive back combing, daring bodysuits with flashes of flesh and lace, metallic cape jackets and killer thigh high PVC boots! Phew!

Pam’s clearly putting the grrrr back into dressing for winter!

Victoria’s Secret is Out…

When Victoria Beckham initially launched her high-end collection of dresses in 2008, many in the fashion world poised to see the ex-spice girl – with no fashion background – fall flat on her face.

However, following the success of her fourth collection for Autumn/Winter 2010, the critics are now finding their negative slurs hard to swallow.

The former singer- turned fashion designer revealed her latest collection at New York Fashion Week to a small handful of the fashion elite, such as Vogue who described Beckham’s creations as “very beautiful.”

A highly wearable collection, designed and detailed to sculpt and flatter; through clever corsetry and decadent drapery and signified with iconic Beckham nape-to-knee zips.

Already a hit with celebrities and high profile events, Beckham’s collection has graced the shoulders of A-lister’s including Madonna and Elle Macpherson and is sure to steal the spot light at the up and coming Golden Globes... Posh pouts at the ready!

Goodbye McQueen of Fashion Hearts.

The death of 40-year-old fashion designer Alexander McQueen has shaken the fashion industry to the core.
Word of the designers untimely death broke only days before the start of London Fashion Week and a month before McQueen was due to reveal his brand new collection in Paris.

McQueen was a fashion designer of international repute and celebrity following; awarded the CBE in 2003, four-time winner of the British designer of the year award, as well as the international designer of the year award from the Council of Fashion Design of America.

His talent and contribution to the fashion industry will be forever glorified and the man himself never forgotten.

Mizz Worthy’s Stuff
Nurse by day – Beauty addict by night! Mizz Worthy shares her personal opinions and reviews of product she loves (and hates). I find it really refreshing to read Mizz Worthy’s product reviews, it’s nice to get some information from a “real” person, rather than the standard press release style information we’re so often presented with.

The Next Best Thing to Going Shopping Yourself
Another beauty related one here, Karla Sugar presents product news and reviews, giveaways and competitions as well as application tips. But by far the best bit about this blog for me are the amazing true colour swatches Karla gets! I find this very useful when contemplating some online purchases, the colour swatches on brand websites are usually rubbish, Karla’s are amazing!
